SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (Autonomous), Mysuru was established in the year 1982 under the aegis of Mahajana Education Society that took its origin in 1937 by visionary philanthropists like Sri Amble Subramanya, Sri Rattehalli Ramappa and others in the city of Mysuru. The college has the unique distinction of being the first under graduate college under the University of Mysore to offer post graduate programs since 1999. It offers PG degree programs and UG degree programs in various subjects like Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, MCA, Computer Science, Social Work, Commerce, Business Administration and Tourism and Hospitality. Currently 100 plus well-qualified teachers with commitment towards the cause of education ably supported and encouraged by the management have seen the college successfully come through three cycles of NAAC accreditation.
